The National Mass Fatalities Institute is coming back to Washington!

NMFI and the Washington State Department of Health, Emergency Preparedness Unit have teamed up to offer two mass fatalites incident planning courses for the emergency management response community  as well as hospital and public health professionals.  Detailed operational plans for the management of fatalities in large life loss incidents are still relatively scarce across the U.S. today.  In addition, the need for specific planning guidance in fatality management for natural disease outbreaks has become a high priority within the public health community.  That’s why this Mass Fatalities Workshop will address the essential elements of the planning process and promote multi-agency, multi-jurisdictional approaches that integrate government agencies, hospitals and health care entities, private sector and non-governmental organizations.  It is designed for stakeholders with fatality management planning and administrative responsibilities in the larger scope of disaster preparedness.  The course will be hosted by the Washington State Department of Health. Please call 866-623-6634 (toll free) with any questions regarding registration.
