Kirkwood Community College's Environmental Health & Safety Training Program is a recognized center of excellence. It is funded by several federal agencies including the National Science Foundation (NSF), the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS) because of the quality programming the college has developed to serve instructors and students around the world.
